Shihan Estelle Padeloup:

Founder of the Bujinkan Dôjô of Eure in High Normandy (France) in 2001 and co-founder, with her husband, of the Bujinkan Dojo Montreal (Quebec) in 2007.

Ten years ago, after having practised several sports in competitions and as a pastime (cross-country race, biathlon, mountainbiking, swimming), she decides to practise a martial art and discovers the Ninjutsu, for which she develops a real passion.

In 1999, she meets Arnaud Cousergue, Shihan of Bujinkan Dojo in France, she has been Arnaud’s student ever since.

She also trains with other Shihan like Sveneric Bogsäter (Holland), Pedro Fleitas Gonzales (Spain), Peter King (England)…

For over 10 years, up until her arrival in Quebec in August, 2007, she has been training from 6 to 8 hours a week, and taking part in more than 15 seminars a year (in France and abroad).

She passes her Shidoshi exam with Sensei Hatsumi at Hombu Dôjô in May 2003.

Married since the 4th of March 2006 to Manolo Serrano.

She obtains her Tenth Dan in April 2007, after a month of intensive training in Japan.

She goes to Japan on a regular basis to take part in Sensei Hatsumi and other Japanese Shihan’s training programs. And since her arrival in Canada she has been training from 12 to 15 hours a week, taking part in several seminars in Quebec, Canada, first Taikai in Toronto in March 2007, and different seminars in U.S. like her husband.

In November 2008 after her teacher Arnaud Cousergue asked Hatsumi Sensei for her 11th Dan, Sensei approved.

In December 2009 after his teacher Arnaud Cousergue asked Hatsumi Sensei for his 12th Dan, Sensei approved.

Taking part in a maximum of seminars is indispensable to questioning myself and at the same time to allowing myself to make progress by always meeting different people.
The most important thing to me is being able to go train in Japan because only Japan can help one reach the true essence of Ninjutsu.
